Physical Description At 6'1, Rick keeps his body in shape with regular workouts. His brown hair is of a longish length but kept within regulations. His grey eyes are a easily mistaken for being black from a distance.

Personality & Traits

General Overview Daithi has a tendency to draw people's eyes when he walks into a room due to the build of his body. He doesn't dress to highlight his muscles but the uniform does no favours in hiding his build.

While flirtaious and outgoing in nature, Daithi can be reserved when it comes to the more serious and deeper side to himself.

His loyalty to people is next to none and he'd never see a person alone in a difficult situation where he could help.

Working out has become more of a hobby than a means to keep fit. Daithi understands the need for a healthy diet and since the loss of his wife; he can be obsessive about being healthy and staying healthy.
Strengths & Weaknesses Daithi can maintain a level and calm head in stressful situations. This helps play to his role in protecting the ship and the crew.

Daithi values the imput of his team, no matter the rank. He believes in nurtering those in his department and believing that everyone has a potential that they can reach.

Daithi's main weakness is in never pushing to reach his full potential. Although compant in his role and his job; his lack of forward progression within Star Fleet has lead to command in previous roles looking down on him for promotion in rank.
Ambitions Daithi sees it difficult to have ambition within his career given he understands that the true value in life is living.
This has lead to him still holding a Lieutenant rank despite his age because the growth focus has been in his ability and role in security rather than ranking structure and moving towards command exams.

Personal History Daithi was born to a family rich in Star Fleet history. With a mother and father who rose through the ranks in the medical and flight divisions; with his father taking command of his own ship in his late 30s.

Daithi watched as his older brother followed in their parents footsteps; choosing to chase his dreams in medical and push towards career progression.

While a well read person as a child; Daithi couldn't understand the dreams of his family. To him life was for living, for enjoying. Why would you spend your life chasing a career when there was so much more in the universe to chase?

Joining the academy at 18, Daithi spent his first year floating. He still wasn't sure in himself was he doing this for the sake of his family or was he doing this for himself? But not knowing anything outside of Starfleet, it seemed to be the right direction.

It was only when towards the end of first year when Daithi met Sylvia that the jigsaw pieces of life began to connect together.

What started as flirtation and teasing, gradully turned into a true love. While Daithi resisted to start, there was no denying the connection between them both that hinted at a true love, a future, a possible family and so much more.

As the pieces began to piece themselves together, Daithi turned a more serious focus towards his studies. Having ended up in security and tactical as nothing else seemed to fit right; Daithi began to see the unlimited possibilities and appeals.

As the 4 years took him through courses such as investigation, crime scene analysis, forensic analysis, law and detective techniques; Daithi began to find a focus his mind was able to settle on.

With Syvia at his side, Daithi began to feel unvisable and began to understand a part of the life his parents and siblings loved. That you could find something and someone in your life that would give you focus.

At graduation, Daithi and Sylvia had a quick marriage in order to enable that moving forward they would be deployed together. Both knew that they were still young, that the time wasn't right yet for a family but that being together mattered.

At 22, the world was their oyster to be able to mould together.

In the initial 8 year after this; their deployments were lead by where the biggest need for Sylvia lay. As a medical officer; Daithi considered her to be more important.

Most of this time was spent on medical ships where the priority with security and tactical lay in protection details for medical staff with the need for forensic investigation presenting from time to time.

Intervention in shuffles between crew seemed to be part and parcel most of the time.

Tatical skills were pulled into play when entering zones of potential conflict and general unrest in situations where so many were injured.

While seen as a solid security and tactile officer, reliable in difficult situations; Daithi had a habit of not pushing himself out there and coasting through his job. Happy for Slyvia to hold the limelight and to just be there to support her.

Four years ago this all changed when Slyvia found that she was expecting their first baby. A baby that wasn't planned but at the sametime felt right for them both.
